#Roommates, we are continuing to send our condolences to the loved ones of Juice Wrld during this difficult time. As everyone continues to remember him for the great contributions he has brought to this world, his family has reportedly spoken out for the first time since his passing.
In an exclusive statement provided to TMZ, his mother, Carmella Wallace said, “We loved Jarad with all of our hearts and cannot believe our time with him has been cut short. As he often addressed in his music and to his fans, Jarad battled with prescription drug dependency. Addiction knows no boundaries and its impact goes way beyond the person fighting it. Jarad was a son, brother, grandson, friend and so much more to so many people who wanted more than anything to see him defeat addiction.”
Nonetheless, his family is hoping that his story will help others get through their struggles.
His mother continued, “We hope the conversations he started in his music and his legacy will help others win their battles as that is what he wanted more than anything.”
As we previously reported, he, unfortunately, passed away last weekend Sunday after suffering a seizure while at the airport in Chicago. During the investigation into his passing, it was revealed that authorities searched him and his team’s luggage after they got off of his private plane.
Police said that someone said they allegedly saw him take multiple pills in an attempt to hide them from the feds.
An autopsy has been performed, and the results from additional are pending before they can announce an official cause of death.
