Former NBA star Dwyane Wade is proving that just because you retire, doesn’t mean that you stop working. He’s officially entering the fashion arena courtesy of new sock line that will be available exclusively at Target.
Dwyane Wade has kept himself pretty busy since he retired from the NBA—and now he’s making a big move into affordable fashion. As reported by @HelloBeautiful, Wade recently revealed the first look at PKWY (Parkway), his affordable sock line available at Target, that’s inspired by culture, architecture and vibrant color found throughout Miami—which is home to the team he played with for a several years, the Miami Heat.
PKWY was founded back in 2013 in collaboration with sock company Stance and will now be available nationwide to Target customers. Dwyane is a co-founder of the company and hopes this new venture will breathe new life into the brand.
Speaking about new line, D. Wade had this to say:
“I’ve always loved socks as a fashion piece because they add a true layer of personality to your style. This new joint venture is the perfect next step in what’s been an amazing partnership, and it only makes sense that the first lifestyle socks to come out under the PKWY umbrella pay tribute to a city I love so much.”
The sock designs are filled with bright colors, eye-catching prints/patterns and some even feature encouraging sayings. As for the price, a 3-pack of PKWY socks retails or $10.
Roommates, will you be buying a pair?
