We’ve all been there. You order food from a delivery app and when it takes much longer to arrive than you expected, you go from annoyed to furious. Apparently, that is what happened to Lizzo with her recent Postmates order.
Lizzo is riding high these days with both a number one song and movie topping the charts, but after placing a recent order through Postmates, her mood quickly changed. As reported by @People, she placed an order through Postmates earlier this week, however, things quickly went left when her food hadn’t arrived by the expected time.
Lizzo quickly went to Twitter to vent her frustrations with her Postmates driver, Tiffany, warning the woman that she’s lucky she “don’t fight no more.” She also shared the woman’s photo. Postmates got wind of the situation and responded to Lizzo, who followed up with a DM.
Unfortunately, some fans were not happy with Lizzo’s approach and called her out on publicly shaming a food service worker to her millions of followers. After the backlash began to intensify, she deleted the tweet.
She didn’t post anymore about the incident after things appeared to calm down, so it’s assumed that the issue was resolved. In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Postmates said the following:
“As soon as Lizzo reached out, we looked into the matter and quickly resolved the issue. We apologize to Lizzo for any inconvenience.”
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
