Earlier this month, J. Cole had to cancel his inaugural Dreamville Festival due to Hurricane Florence. Now he’s helping those affected by the hurricane.
According to XXL, the rapper has launched a storm relief fund through his non-profit Dreamville Foundation. The foundation is currently collecting donations through its website and will use its relief efforts in J. Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, NC.
The foundation’s announcement reads, “The Dreamville Foundation is looking to lend a helping hand to the community, children, and families affected by Hurricane Florence. There will be hot food stations placed throughout the city, temporary housing options for families, and stocking of food pantries/shelters, as well as supporting other local non-profits who help provide services for the people in Fayetteville.”
It’s great to see J. Cole giving back in a major way, even as he continues to tour the country on his “K.O.D Tour.”
