Back in January “The New Edition Story” aired on BET setting record-breaking numbers. Now the network has announced it’s two-part follow-up “The Bobby Brown Story.”
According to Deadline, the project is expected to air in Fall 2018, and like Bobby Brown, Woody McClain will also go solo as he will pick-up where he left off and reprise his role as the R&B singer.
BET reportedly said, “The Bobby Brown Story also will be a story about redemption. Through sobriety, the singer learns to be a better man, husband, and father — finding love again and remarrying in 2012.”
Casting for roles such as Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina, Teddy Riley, L.A. Reid and many others are currently underway.
Earlier this year, the premiere of “The New Edition Story” became the highest rated and most watched program since the season five premiere of “The Game” back in 2012.
