On Monday Jay-Z announced the tour dates for his 4:44 Tour, which will kick off during the fall.
Later during the day, Hov dropped another visual to go along with his now platinum 13th studio album.
In the video for the “Footnotes for 4:44” he enlists a number of A-list celebrities such as Will Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Michael B. Jordan, Omari Hardwick, and many others as they talk about their experiences on love and how to treat women.
Jay elaborates on his lyrics from the single “4:44” and said, “I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth.”
He continued, “Then it starts cracking, and then things start happening that the public can see … We had to go a point and be like okay, ‘Tear this down,’ and then start from the beginning.”
He also talks about how hard it was for him to love, saying, “It’s hard! Remember we just talked about me. I’m from Marcy Projects…shot at, nothing’s harder than this. By far, I’m telling you, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
