It is no secret that biopics about some of our favorite artists are one of the latest trends that grant audiences the opportunity to see their stories.
Following the success of films such as “Straight Outta Compton” and the “New Edition Story,” Outkast may be the next group to tell their story in the form of a film.
In a recent interview with Hip Hip DX, Big Boi revealed some details on an Outkast biopic.
When asked if the group has talked about working on a film, he said, “Me and [Andre 3000] just spoke about it last week when I was in New York. I think he might have been taking a couple meetings talking to people and then I got a couple of people in mind that I’ma talk to.”
He continued, “One of them being Lee Daniels who I just did the TV show Star with so yeah all that’s coming and we just know it’s time to do it. It’s coming!”
One of the most important aspects when it comes to a biopic is the casting, so when asked who he would like to portray him in the film, Big Boi responded, “I don’t know, maybe one of my sons could do it cause they look exactly like me and they know all the words to all the raps so they probably could pull it off, and they know me so I may have to do the Cube move and pick one of my sons to play me.”
Roommates, would you be here for an Outkast biopic?
