Oprah Winfrey has excelled at pretty much anything she put her mind to, but the media mogul doesn’t think she would have been a good mother. Oprah gets real candid and personal in the April Issue of Good Housekeeping UK, and she didn’t hold back.
“When people were pressuring me to get married and have children, I knew I was not going to be a person that ever regretted not having them because I feel like I am a mother to the world’s children,” she said while talking about her Leadership Academy for Girls.
She continued,
“Love knows no boundaries. It doesn’t matter if a child came from your womb or if you found that person at age 1, 10 or 20. If the love is real, the caring is pure and it comes from a good space, it works.”
In the end, Oprah just kept it real,
“For me [the Leadership Academy] was perfect, because I didn’t want babies,” she said. “I don’t have the patience.”
