The New Year is almost here, which means that award season is right around the corner. On Monday, the nominations for the 74th Annual Golden Globes were announced, and some of our favorite actors and actresses were nominated for the years best movies and shows.
Veteran actors Denzel Washington and Viola Davis both snagged, “Best Actor, Drama” and “Best Supporting Actress,” nominations for their upcoming film, “Fences,” which releases on December 25th.
Another favorite to be nominated is the show “Atlanta,” created and executive produced by Donald Glover. The show earned a nomination for “Best TV Series, Comedy/ Musical,” right along with “Blackish.”
Donald Glover and Anthony Anderson were both nominated for “Best Actor, Comedy.”
Anthony Anderson’s co-star Tracee Ellis Ross was nominated for “Best Actress, Comedy,” and Issa Rae will join her in the category, for her new hit series “Insecure” on HBO.
The Barry Jenkins film, “Moonlight,” also was nominated for a great amount of categories, which include, “Best Drama Motion Picture,”Best Screenplay of A Motion Picture,” and “Best Original Score.”
