Yesterday news broke that Rick Ross owed the IRS millions of dollars in unpaid taxes from the years 2012 to 2014.
He has now responded and is letting it be known that it was all due to “incorrect filing” from his former financial team.
According to Vibe, Ross released a statement reassuring that financially he is great and that he is taking care of any issues when it comes to his taxes.
He said, “I am fully aware of my current dealings with the IRS. This issue arose from an incorrect filing by a prior accountant for the 2012 tax year. My new team of accountants have corrected the prior filing, and as anyone who has dealt with the IRS understands, it is a process.”
He continued, “We have already satisfied a large portion of these issues and I can assure you that we are working very closely with the IRS to bring a full resolution shortly and will continue moving forward in a positive direction!”
TMZ reported that Ross owed the IRS $4.6 million for the year of 2012, and $570,000 for both 2013 and 2014.
Needless to say, this was an issue that was not too big for the biggest boss to handle.
