Earlier this month, Kim Kardashian was robbed and her husband Kanye West halted one of his performances to be by her side. As scary as that was for them, tea was recently spilt that Jay-Z hadn’t visited ‘Ye since the tragic event transpired! He had allegedly just called instead. “Don’t call me after the robbery and say, ‘How you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin’?” the rapper ranted during a recent performance. “Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house like we brothers. Our kids ain’t never even played together.” We still can’t believe that he called Jay and Bey out like that, but you best believe that it got back to them.
In a recent interview with Page 6, Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke says that he recently had a conversation with Jigga in which they both concluded that they miss the old Kanye. “The last I saw [West], he spoke really highly of Jay,” Burke began. “I’m not sure about the relationship at this point. I spoke to Jay [after Kanye’s rant] and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.’”
From there, Biggs gave Kanye the benefit of the doubt, saying that he could just be going through something at the moment. “From what I know of Kanye, he’s usually really honest. So it sounds like something he’s going through right now. He may [say] something like that, and then three weeks later he may be back to, ‘That’s my brother.’ But at this point, with everybody’s career, we’re a little too old for rap beef.”
We agree! Plus, Jay and Biggs probably agree with the lyrics to “I Love Kanye” on #TLOP. Just saying.
