Looks like Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams is the latest athlete to be accused of leaving a horrible tip at a restaurant he recently ate at. Apparently, Williams left a measly .75 cent for his waitress after he alleged that he received horrible service.
A man who uses the Twitter name @YoYo_Chelsea011, spoke up for his coworker who received the crappy tip via social media. The man shared a series of tweets including the receipt that shared that the total came out to $128. He definitely went off on Williams since he does make millions of dollars a season:
@DeAngeloRB thanks for the lousy tip. Servers and bartenders only make $4/hr and for someone who make mills can only leave $0.75
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 11, 2016
@DeAngeloRB you're a shitty ass customer. I hope you lose tomorrow and have diarrhea
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 11, 2016
@DeAngeloRB maybe you were horrible in math in school that you couldn't calculate 20% off of a $120 check. Thats about $25 idiot
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 11, 2016
@DeAngeloRB since you're staying at the Marriott in College Park on Route 1, i hope you have a great night rest.
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 11, 2016
@DeAngeloRB you're a horrible ass person who obviously don't know what it like to grind and hustle everyday to just live in this world.
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 11, 2016
@DeAngeloRB people like you don't stay successful in life. Remember karma can bite you. Your momma should've raised you right
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB @stephenasmith Stephen A. Smith DO NOT LET THIS MAN take the bill cause he doesnt tip hard working people
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB don't go out to eat if you cant tip right. Just cook something or order carryout @stephenasmith @espn pic.twitter.com/2TlIUuFFXV
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB @stephenasmith being that this will be seen by lots of people, I hope it gives you insight to help those who dont make mills
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB @stephenasmith @espn you make about $45 mill, 21 guaranteed. Leaving like $15-20 as a tip like pocket change to you
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
Like c'mon bruh smh @DeAngeloRB @stephenasmith @espn
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
Well Williams surely clapped back giving his reasons behind the .75 cent tip. Apparently he wasn’t trying to tip at all because of the poor service he received from the restaurant.
You right I tried to leave exact change but couldn't I waited on my food for over 1.5hours got the order wrong then https://t.co/rCqpGGdxmv
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
She never asked for refills and took a dish back removed what was on it and left a shrimp tail in my salad https://t.co/rCqpGGdxmv
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Instead of asking for a manager I simply didn't leave a tip for the hardly working server that expected a tip😏 https://t.co/rCqpGGdxmv
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB the way you order was wrong. Based on my coworker, you should've been more specific on your order. She tried her best bruh
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB she's not the one who's making the food. Like c'mon, you have to understand that we serve what is prepared
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
I went over that order 4 times and not only that our food came out with our salads and it wasn't a complex order https://t.co/p7O0EoA8Ql
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
I'm glad you tried to blast me on here because I give u truth and what about the refills I even asked for a manager https://t.co/p7O0EoA8Ql
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
I'm not the one who served @DeAngeloRB people, my coworker did to clarify this. I'm not trying to get famous. I'm stating a point
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
So it takes 1.5 hours for u to get me 3 salads and pasta and it's not packed at all and slow by her standards https://t.co/zQL7tQRrIP
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
she just explained the order and it isn't complex at all. If there was a problem, ask for a manager but don't just leave $0.75
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
Well your coworker set u up for failure did she also tell u she gave bad service and ask the other bar tender did I https://t.co/mOCdvIeaeQ
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Not ask for the manager because people that came after us got their food while we waited forever https://t.co/mOCdvHWyQg
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
i do not know how long you were in the restaurant but I'm just saying it would've been better to leave more or nothing at all
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
I tried to leave nothing at all I couldn't find change😏 I was pissed I left 75cent! https://t.co/VOlBpnENab
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
@DeAngeloRB well she was training the other bartender and has been in the industry for 15 years and bartending for 10 years. So, yea
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
well all I'm saying servers do not earn much so you or anybody that goes out to eat should at least leave a tip….at least
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
#LT not just $0.75. Thats kinda foul. How would you feel if you got $0.75 no matter your service?
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
? Why did u tweet @ me when I was among 6 that was at the table and we all put money in I just handed it to her? https://t.co/XTCIOUTNF3
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
well she told me that you gave the money so I guess she assumed you paid for the table.
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
For terrible service?? Not me I tip to well for that https://t.co/EkSDRZT7KK
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
not even a $15 tip which is split between the "new" guy
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
The service was terrible if it was good she would have gotten a 40dollar tip https://t.co/wgArMDocOy
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
See you thought this was something more!😂😂😂😂 you prob should ask ?s first she was a horrible waiter period https://t.co/aWqModb1BB
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
I'm just stating a point. Waiters dont make much, leaving more than $0.75 can be crucial. You dont know their struggles
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
No not for bad service! https://t.co/mPCGVSLmUX
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
And they don't know mine either! So because u see the glory doesn't mean u know the story so work ur butt off https://t.co/ZPA8bh89Qb
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
well I always work my ass off no matter what. I was raised to work hard to get what you want so I'm in this scenario.
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
I'm just saying that when you go to a restaurant, dont leave something like that to be an ass
— Johan Malcolm (@WitnessSuccess_) September 12, 2016
Bloop!! DeAngelo may have a point there but he was done making it because he even began responding to other tweeters who saw the Twitter war unravel.
He wasn't my bartender and what's worst is it was more than myself I was just the guy they knew out the bunch https://t.co/mTFWp9Aoqj
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
I'm also trying to figure that out I don't think he was expecting me to reply https://t.co/Q8IDN3ITM7
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
I ordered chicken and shrimp in my pasta they put it on my salad they took it back and removed it from salad and put https://t.co/gIrDkMXEKj
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
It in my pasta leaving a shrimp tail in the salad lol https://t.co/gIrDkMXEKj
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Well I see it as a team like us when one person slacks we all do causing the team to suffer https://t.co/ATktHe7DWo
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
I use to wait tables and use to be a bag boy so I know what I'm doing here https://t.co/NiuDnC8EGE
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Oh it was awful https://t.co/MUwLNJj3yt
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Guess what it's my money I do what I want with it and if I spend frivolously and go Broke its bigger than tipping😏 https://t.co/wfVFwcagai
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Oh she got paid she just didn't get a bonus and Jason your argument is futile https://t.co/DGTnFFKJ3z
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
Dude we go through this all the time but I refuse to break for the pressures of my wages and entitle people https://t.co/y5bepKlwgL
— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) September 12, 2016
