Latto Gives Her Opinion On Kendrick & Drake
According to PEOPLE, Latto recently discussed Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s iconic rap rivalry with Billboard. She expressed excitement about the feud, mentioning that her generation hasn’t seen anything like it before.
“I ain’t going to lie: I liked it! I liked the back-and-forth. I thought it was healthy for the culture. It just felt nostalgic. I don’t think our generation has even seen a rivalry like that. I f****d with it.”
The ‘Big Mama’ spitter also praised both Drizzy and K.Dot for their talents and capabilities.
“I feel like it’s two n****s that’s killing this s**t and they both so talented, and they both on they high horse flexing their talent and capabilities. They both still that n****s, they both still the GOAT. That s**t fye for the culture, bruh.”
The Rapper Speaks On Beef With Ice Spice
While discussing Drake and Kendrick, Latto opened up about entering a rap ring of her own with Ice Spice. Fans have always speculated that the two musicians have been exchanging lyrical jabs throughout their music.
However, Latto told Billboard she doubts Ice Spice would be ready to exchange “full diss records.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, the ‘Big Energy’ hitmaker briefly commented on battling Ice Spice, saying she wants a fierce competitor willing to go head-to-head with her.
“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like imma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’ Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me; I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole dis records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. I feel like… would it even make sense? It wouldn’t.”
Latto continued to tell Billboard that “jabs” are common in the rap industry, so fans shouldn’t be surprised by her and Ice Spice.
In June, social media users speculated that Latto was coming at Ice Spice after she posted a photo of a poop emoji cake with the caption, “Think I’m the s**t, b***h?”
Before that, Ice Spice appeared to respond to the Atlanta artist’s teasing of her ‘Sunday Service’ song while one of her music videos played in the background. However, Latto seemed to be standing on business with Spice by traveling to her Bronx hometown to film her own music video.
