Meagan Good Shares How Proud She Is Of Her “Favorite Person” Jonathan Majors
The couple spoke exclusively to US Weekly while appearing on the red carpet at the New York Urban League’s Frederick Douglass Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 6. During the chat, Good shared how “proud” she is of her boyfriend.
“I’m really, really proud of him,” she said. “It’s been quite a year to say the least, and how he’s handled it, how he’s grown, how we’ve learned to dance in the rain and how we’ve learned to just look at God first and foremost above everything.”
Good explained that Majors is her “favorite person.”
“He is literally my favorite person,” the actor continued. “Just because of his heart, just because of the way that he’s helped me grow because of his honesty, because of his laughter, his jokes and I can go on and on.”
The Actor Speaks On His Girlfriend’s Support As Meagan Good Talks Re-Marriage
In turn, Majors mirrored Good’s sentiments. The actor explained that the 42-year-old is the “one thing” he works for and makes sacrifices for, and added that she “makes” him “good.”
“I don’t want to cry, but she’s my best friend,” he told the outlet. “At 34 years old, who would have thought that this would be my friend? The one thing I work for, fight for, sacrifice for. She makes me good, as cliché as that sounds.”
According to the outlet, the couple then became emotional. They reportedly touched on “how the past few months have affected them.” However, US Weekly did not provide explicit quotes.
As the conversation continued, Good was reportedly asked if she was open to getting re-married. According to PEOPLE, Good was married to DeVon Franklin for nine years before the motivational filed for divorce in December 2021.
Good gave a brief yet confident answer to the outlet’s question.
“Yup,” she said.
From there, Majors spoke about Good’s support of him while sharing a quote from Frederick Douglass.

“You take support for granted. I know I did,” he said. “Because when you have it, it’s a whole different thing. Like, two nights ago, I was doing something and she came and backed me up, and tonight she’s up there, you know, showing out, and I’m here to back her up. We’ve learned to bring it forward back to the moment. And Frederick Douglass being the moment, there’s a quote of his that I will paraphrase. He says we are not judged by the heights we have reached, but by the depths we have overcome.”
