Here’s What’s Going To Happen To The Employees
According to the outlet, the Maryland Transportation Authority responded to the incident which reportedly occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 28. The organization confirmed that five people were involved in the incident, while one “suffered minor injuries.”
Meanwhile, Spirit Airlines has reportedly confirmed that the four employees were not directly employed by the company. They were reportedly “employees of a third-party service” utilized by the airline. However, the men have now been “suspended by that company pending an investigation.”
“We do not tolerate violence of any kind, and we will take appropriate action as necessary following the completion of the vendor’s investigation,” a spokesperson for the airline reportedly stated, per The Baltimore Banner.
The outlet adds that the Maryland Transportation Authority has not released information about what prompted the altercation or the identities of those involved.
However, The Baltimore Banner reports that authorities did provide “information about how to file criminal charges” to those involved.
A Mother & Daughter Previously Went Viral At The Spirit Airlines Gate
This isn’t the first time footage has gone viral of employees and customers throwin’ hands at a Spirit Airlines desk. As The Shade Room previously reported, in February 2023, a 17-year-old girl and her mother got frisky with employees.
Apparently, the women were told their carry-on luggage was too heavy, and they needed to pay an extra fee.
From there, tensions rose and reportedly left one bystander yelling for security.
