A woman filed a bombshell lawsuit against DJ Akademiks, accusing him of sexually assaulting her in 2022. Fauziya “Ziya” Abashe says Akademiks took advantage of her after two men at his home drugged and raped her.
The social media personality, whose real name is Livingston Allen, has denied the lawsuit’s allegations, calling it “a shakedown.” Rolling Stone first reported the lawsuit.

Here’s What The Lawsuit Against DJ Akademiks Alleges
Documents reportedly allege Akademiks and two unnamed men penetrated Abashe while she was in and out of consciousness at his home. The two briefly dated after meeting in 2021, per RS.
However, she says they hadn’t seen each other for almost a year when Akademiks allegedly contacted her on July 16, 2022. He invited her to his New Jersey home, and given their history, she didn’t suspect any “ill intentions.”
Abashe pulled up and was surprised to be met by two other men (John Doe 1 and 2). She alleges the men drugged her drink and continued to give her alcohol before raping her on DJ Akademiks’ pool deck.
When she woke up the next day at about 4 a.m., Abashe said she was in AK’s bed. He was allegedly “pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her.” The defendant shared that she was “begging” DJ Akademiks to stop as he penetrated her anally and vaginally. Docs reportedly say she was “crying for most of this assault but losing her ability to move physically.”
Akademiks Allegedly Showed The Woman Video Of Her Assault & More Evidence
The lawsuit also accuses Akademiks of showing Abashe a videotape of the two men raping her on his pool deck. There was also allegedly a trash can with two condoms in it. The woman believes the men also assaulted her inside a room of AK’s home after the pool deck.
“According to Ms. Abashe, as she watched the video, she looked like she was just lying there lifeless, which did not sit right with her,” the suit reportedly reads.
In text messages on July 17, 2022, the internet personality told Abashe to “get tested” and suggested he’d do the same. The woman, per the suit, also took that as an admittance to having unprotected intercourse with her.
Fauziya ‘Ziya’ Abashe says she brought the matter to the police and underwent a rape kit, which she claims uncovered traces of Akademiks sperm. Police also reportedly photographed bruises on her arm, back, buttocks, and legs.” Additionally, Abashe even had a “recorded wire call” with AK where he allegedly admitted to having sex with her and described her vagina. Ultimately, she decided not to press charges.
Akademiks Denied The Assault In December 2023 & Following The Lawsuit
However, the incident became public knowledge when she and Akademiks discussed it on social media in Dec. 2023. In a video shared on Dec. 30, he denied involvement, saying his “two men” “trained” her on his pool deck. He also admitted to having the surveillance footage.
That’s where the defamation aspect of Abashe’s lawsuit comes in. She says he defamed her when he suggested she voluntarily participated in an “orgy,” while she insists she didn’t give consent to the acts.
On Tuesday, after news of the lawsuit spread, DJ Akademiks again denied raping Abashe while speaking on a livestream. He called the lawsuit a “shakedown.” Additionally, the streamer said he was an “innocent man” who is not under any criminal investigation at this time.
Abashe’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, told Rolling Stone that they had attempted to settle the civil matter privately but had had no luck.
To note, Blackburn has been accused of “improperly filing cases in federal court ‘to garner media attention,” according to TMZ. As The Shade Room previously reported, Blackburn is also the attorney who filed sexual assault lawsuits against Christian Combs and his father Sean “Diddy” Combs.
