More Details Regarding The Lawsuit & Sexual Allegations Against Megan Thee Stallion
According to NBC News, Garcia filed the lawsuit against Megan on Tuesday, April 23, in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The cameraman is reportedly alleging that the “harassment” he experienced while working for Meg “was so severe or pervasive” that he experienced working in a “hostile, abusive work environment.”
Additionally, Garcia reportedly referred to the working conditions as “intolerable.”
The cameraman reportedly began working with Megan full-time in 2019. Garcia reportedly was employed by the rapper until June 2023.
According to NBC News, the lawsuit asserts that he and Megan traveled to Ibiza, Spain, in June 2022. One night, they were allegedly in an SUV with three other women when Megan and one woman “began to have sex next to him in the moving car.”
“I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked,” Garcia told the outlet. “At kind of just… overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”
Garcia alleges that the following day, Megan asked if he was present in the car the evening before. When he confirmed, he alleges that Megan told him:
“Don’t ever discuss what you saw.”
More Details Regarding Additional Allegations Against The Rapper
According to the outlet, Garcia alleges that Megan fat-shamed him with various insults during the same trip. The rapper is accused of calling Garcia a “fat b***h.”
Additionally, the rapper allegedly told him things like “spit your food out” and “you don’t need to be eating.”
“To hear someone who advocates about loving your body tell me these things, I felt degraded,” Garcia told the outlet.
According to NBC News, after the trip, the rapper’s compensation for Garcia “changed from a monthly flat-rate.” Garcia’s pay was reportedly changed to a “pay-per-task system.” Additionally, the new structure reportedly required him to submit invoices for “each” of his assignments.
Furthermore, Garcia alleges that he was “expected to provide the same services” for Megan despite his altered pay structure. However, he allegedly was “treated differently” and began to see a “decrease” in the projects the rapper hired him to do.
Then, on one evening around June 2023, Garcia was allegedly informed by Roc Nation that “his services would no longer be required” for Meg.
According to the outlet, Garcia is now encouraging others who work in the entertainment industry to “advocate for themselves” because there’s “no HR department in the entertainment business.”
The outlet adds that he experienced “profound emotional distress” while working with Megan. Additionally, the suit asserts that Garcia now “grapples with mounting anxiety, depression, and physical distress stemming from the toxic work environment.”
Garcia is reportedly seeking unpaid wages, interest on unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages, other employee benefits, and punitive damages from Megan. Additionally, he would reportedly like the rapper to cover his attorneys’ fees.
The total sum that Garcia is seeking from Meg reportedly exceeds six figures.
