A Brief Recap Of Katt Williams’ Statements On Steve Harvey
As The Shade Room previously reported, Shannon Sharpe published the viral interview with Katt Williams on Wednesday, January 3. To date, the pair’s sitdown has garnered over 37 million views.
During the almost three-hour-long video, Williams commented on multiple celebrities, including Cedric The Entertainer, Tiffany Haddish, Rickey Smiley, Faizon Love, and Ludacris.
At one point, Williams accused Cedric The Entertainer of stealing one of his jokes. Then, he went on to allege that Cedric’s close friend, Harvey, “stole” the concept of fellow comedian Mark Curry’s 1992 ABC sitcom, ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.’
“The same Steve that went to go watch Mark Curry do his whole sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had. Now Steve got a sitcom where he’s the principal, and he wears a suit,” Williams explained, referring to Harvey’s 1996 TV series, ‘The Steve Harvey Show.’
Additionally, Williams also alleged that Harvey’s high-top faded haircut, which he sported during the series, was a “man-unit.”
Furthermore, Williams said that Harvey “couldn’t” be a movie star while comparing his looks to “Mr. Potato Head.”
“There are 30,000 new scripts in Hollywood each year. Not one of them asked for a country bumpkin Black dude that can’t talk good.” 😳😳😳

As the conversation continued, Williams alleged that Harvey disliked the late comedian Bernie Mac. Ultimately, Williams seemingly told Harvey to “humble” himself.
“…The whole time Bernie was here, you was acting like you was funnier than him,” Williams said, referring to Harvey, per The Shade Room. “…You can’t beat the best, and until you humble yourself, you will forever be kinged by the king.”
At this point, Steve Harvey has not publicly responded to WIlliams’ comments. However, Bernie Mac’s daughter has weighed in with her own thoughts.
