Damson Idris Shares Message To “Grown Black Men”
On Monday, December 11, the 32-year-old actor took to Instagram Story to share a few words. The ‘Snowfall’ actor began by explaining that he sees “so much unprovoked hatred towards Black women… by predominantly grown Black men.”
“Especially towards our young stars that are just trying to do their thing,” Idris continued. “The compulsion to humble these women perhaps makes you feel like more of a man [but] I promise you. You aren’t men to us…”
Idris explained that a “new year is approaching.”
“A new year is approaching,” the actor wrote. “Grow up.”

At this time, what prompted Idris’s message remains unclear. However, that didn’t stop Instagram users from entering The Shade Room’s comment section to share their support and applause for the actor’s words.
Instagram user @quianawatson_ wrote.

Damson Idris Made Recently Made Headlines
The 32-year-old most recently made headlines in November when he and Lori Harvey shared a joint statement about their relationship. As The Shade Room previously reported, the pair seemingly went public with their relationship when Idris wished Harvey a happy birthday in January 2023.
A few days later, Idris was spotted accompanying Harvey as she left her 26th birthday dinner.

In February, Lori Harvey subtly clapped back at critics who accused her and Idris of having “no chemistry” during a red-carpet appearance.

Then, in November, the pair were spotted leaving an event separately, per The Shade Room. On November 7, Harvey and Idris released a joint statement explaining that they’ve decided to remain friends.
“We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication. We part ways remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together,” the statement read, per The Hollywood Reporter.
