Charlamagne tha God is speaking on how, after a night of drunk tweeting, he ended up uniting with Rihanna to party it up in Los Angeles!
Rihanna Treated Charlamagne To A Fun-Filled Night On The Town
The Breakfast Club co-host dished on the matter during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday night (July 20).
While on the Bravo late-night show alongside host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Oscar De La Hoya, a viewer called in and asked Charlamagne if the rumors about his night out with Rihanna were true. In turn, he confirmed and detailed how it all went down.
He noted that, back when Twitter was the Wild West, he was “drunk tweeting” and enjoying his night when Rihanna responded and declared, “I want in.”
“It was so crazy because I was at the SLS in Beverly Hills, and I literally was just drunk tweeting. I’m like, ‘I’m in L.A. drunk!’ … She was like, ‘I want in.'”
While Charlamagne admitted that he was initially unsure if the tweeter was really Rihanna at the time, the “Where Have You Been” singer rolled up and took him to “this hood spot.”
“She pulled up to the hotel, and she took us to this hood spot in L.A. [There] was like a liquor store and a fried chicken place right next door to it.”
He emphasized, “It was just some hood s**t. And I was like, ‘Wow. Rihanna really is the new Tupac!’ That’s how I felt.”
Before moving on, Charlamagne tha God also shared a standout memory from his time out with Rihanna. Specifically, he recalled the songstress pulling out a “wad of money” and paying for the car service at the end of the evening. IKTR, RiRi!
“The highlight of the night was that she paid for the car service at the end of the night. She literally put a wad of money in my hand and said, ‘The car service is outside. Just give the money to the driver.”
He Dishes On People Comparing Rihanna & Beyoncé
While on the subject of Rihanna, Charlamagne also shared his thoughts on her stunning Super Bowl halftime performance from earlier this year.
“I think she did a phenomenal job. Especially [being] pregnant. I think that they maximized her skillset.”
Charlamagne also acknowledged people comparing Rihanna to Beyoncé, acknowledging that Queen Bey has an immense stage presence while that’s “not really Rihanna’s thing.” Instead, RiRi is more laid-back and “always the coolest person in the room.”
“She’s the coolest person in the room [while giving] us the hits.”
