Police launched an investigation for the stolen manuscript of the upcoming “Fifty Shades” novel just days before its release.
According to the NY Post, the book’s publisher, Random House realized that a copy went missing earlier this week and have since been trying to sort out details and leads.
The novel, titled, “Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey As Told by Christian,” was scheduled to be released June 18th and tells the original story from the point of view of billionaire, Christian Grey.
Publishers have a fear that the thief may leak the novel or even sell excerpts on the black market.
Author E.L. James said, during the announcement of the release date, that she penned the installment for the thousands of readers who wrote her wanting to know Christians Point of View.
No further details about the stolen manuscript has been released.
