Last week, rapper 50 Cent announced an impending casting call for a new #BlackMafiaFamily tv series that he’d be producing. He received some backlash from “the hood” since many felt he was stepping on toes.
In one of 50’s many recent twists, Black Mafia Family cartel CEO, Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory, has squashed rumors of 50 Cent going against his wishes. He is currently serving a 30 year prison sentence for drug trafficking, as some of you may know, but that didn’t stop him from sending a public letter of approval to 50 Cent, which he posted to his Instagram just to prove the haters wrong.
“First I must say, Fif and Randall,” he wrote, “given the success of your past creative collaborations on numerous feature films and particularly your television series “Power,” I feel that the two of you are the perfect team to tell my story.”
That is when Meech let out the gag that despite 50 Cent receiving some backlash for seemingly doing this film without BMF, they had already reached an agreement on the rapper producing the film two years ago!
“I would never give my consent, permission, or blessing to any film that is considered being done without me,” he continued in the letter. “I’m the only one that can tell the B.M.F Big Meech story, so any person or persons trying to do a film is ‘100% faking.”
50 Cent is getting on some Kardashian-level media manipulation and I’m not even mad! Since all of BMF is on board, everyone can breathe a sigh of relief as we wait for the castings to take place. This project will be lit!
