Snapchat videos of Trey Songz making lewd comments about the police can be used against him in his December 28th assault trial. You may recall that Trigga was charged with one count of assaulting a police officer and one count of aggravated assault after he allegedly punched a cop and started throwing things after his mic was cut off during a concert in Detroit last year.
According to Fox 2 News, Judge Lawrence Talon just ruled that Trey’s videos saying “f*** the police” can be used in the case. The court also obtained videos of Trey saying “F*** MGM,” the casino where he was reportedly kicked out of for causing a “scene.”
“Given the fact that the defendant is highly unsatisfied with police as shown from these videos ahead of time, saying all these vulgar comments about police, it is relevant to show that the defendant intended to do the crime that he is charged with,” the prosecutor said.
The judge also noted that the defense team can argue that Trey encouraged concert attendees to chant “F*** the police” too. If found guilty, Trey faces a one-year misdemeanor sentence and up to two years probation.
#Roommates, do you feel Trey’s Snapchat videos will hurt his case?
