Just as we thought we were in the clear of all of the celebrity deaths of 2016, we get hit with another devastating blow… the death of Charlie Murphy.
According to TMZ, the actor/comedian had been battling leukemia but ultimately lost his fight this morning at an NYC hospital. His manager allegedly confirmed the news and says he has been getting chemotherapy even though it isn’t specified for how long.

Murphy is most recognized from his “Chappelle’s Show” days as well as being fellow actor and comedian Eddie Murphy’s older brother.
