New Jersey Teen Gets Accepted Into All Eight Ivy League Schools

This is the time of the year when high school seniors around the world are receiving letters to see what colleges they would be attending come the fall.

One New Jersey teen has a lot to celebrate, as she was accepted to all eight Ivy League colleges and one additional school.

According to the ABC, Ifeoma White-Thorpe has been accepted to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton, and Stanford.

White-Thorpe talked about the experience of opening her final acceptance notice. She said, “I was shaking, I was like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, like this might be eight out of eight.”

She continued to say, “So many of them have great research facilities, so I was like, I might as well just shoot my shot and apply.”

White-Thorpe, who is the 2015 national Selma speech and essay competition winner, is now faced with the tough decision of picking what school to choose for the fall.

Although she has not made her decision, she did note that none of the schools where she applied give merit scholarships. She said, “I’m praying they give me some more financial aid or some money. Shout out to all of those schools, please give me something!”

Congrats to Ifeoma White-Thorpe on this amazing accomplishment.
