Many people would agree that Beyoncé was snubbed for Album of the Year at the 2017 Grammys despite all of her efforts to produce #Lemonade and the success that flowed from it.
Then again, what about the artists like #Future or #GucciMane that work super hard but are never even considered for a Grammy award? Well, #Boosie happens to think that there should be a #GhettoGrammys for all of the hood rappers.
“I probably won’t never win a muthaf*ckin’ Grammy. You gotta understand I’m…kind of like the bad boy of the industry,” the rapper says in an Instagram video. “But if they had a ghetto Grammy? If they had a f*cking Grammy in the muthaf*ckin’ hood and everybody voted in the muthaf*ckin’ streets? N*gga, I’d have 55 muthaf*ckin’ Grammys n*gga, ya heard me?”
As hilarious as his video is, Boosie is making a valid point. Maybe there should’ve been a Ghetto Grammys since the #GrammysSoWhite saga. I mean, it’s nice to have your success acknowledged. Roommates, would you be here for a Ghetto Grammy Awards?
