Many people may know actress Jamie Lynn Spears from the hit show “Zoey 101,” on Nick, and others know her as Britney Spears’ sister.
According to TMZ, Jamie’s 8-year-old daughter Maddie was badly hurt during an ATV accident.
Sources in Kentwood, Louisiana revealed that Maddie was involved in a hunting expedition when the accident occurred. She was reportedly riding a Polaris off-road vehicle when it flipped over.
The source also revealed that she was reportedly under water for a few minutes and unconscious before being airlifted to a nearby hospital. Jamie was reportedly not with her daughter at the time of the accident.
At the moment, there are no further details as the story continues to develop, but Entertainment Tonight spoke with Jamie’s father, and he said, “All I can say is pray for our baby Maddie.”
Recently Jamie appeared in her own series on TLC called, “When The Lights Go Out,” where viewers got to see Jamie as a mother, while stepping back into the spotlight.

UPDATE: A rep for Britney Spears released a statement to Fox News and said,:
“The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie are incorrect. Right now the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family.”
The rep did not further elaborate which facts were incorrect.
TMZ has since reported that Maddie is now in critical, but stable condition.
