Up and coming actor Jay Bowdy died on Monday after he reportedly committed suicide on Facebook Live. He allegedly shot himself in the head and his body was found in a car parked on a street in Los Angeles.
According to the LA Times, Bowdy was arrested in Santa Clarita last Thursday on suspicion of sexual assault. Los Angeles County Sheriff Sgt. Janice Banks says that he was released on Friday after posting $100,000 bail.
The actor, who was identified as Frederick Jay Bowdy by the coroner’s office, told Facebook Live viewers that he was going to commit suicide which prompted a family member to call the LAPD to his home. Unfortunately, the 33-years-old was dead upon arrival.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bowdy’s family. He leaves behind a wife and six children.
