Since #Black-ish made its debut back in 2014, it’s been a staple in a lot of communities that have been being shown disfavor these last few years–but especially, as the title implies, the black community. Kind of like a modern day Cosby Show. That’s why we’re so excited to hear that a spin-off may be in the way soon!
According to Vibe, Kenya Barris, the series creator and executive producer has been working with ABC to get the ball rolling on that project!
Just like when The Cosby Show had it’s Spin-off show, A Different World, the plot is rooted in a beautiful black young woman who ventures off to college. Zoey (Yara Shahidi) is dealing with internships this season and when the show spins off, will be headed off to college
If things go as planned, the spinoff will be introduced this spring!
