They should just let President Obama retire the @POTUS Twitter Handle–he deserves that much on his way out, right?!
Shoot, we wish! Along with his presidential duties, The President’s Twitter username, which was first acquired by Obama just last year, must stay with the White House–which means president-elect Donald Trump will have access to Obama’s old online stomping grounds.
They’re deleting Obama’s 300+ Tweet history and making a clean slate for Trump. But Sean Spicer, the incoming White House Secretary says that he may keep his original handle, @realDonaldTrump.
Spicer was asked which account he would be tweeting from He said, “I think he’ll probably be tweeting from both, or whatever he chooses.”
We all know that when Trump tweets, people pay attention. Does it really matter from which account? It probably won’t make a difference in his message but you never know!
