Grammy nominations rolled in Tuesday morning and fans wasted no time sharing their excitement and disappointments. Apparently there are some people who aren’t too happy with Drake’s “Album of the Year” and “Best Rap Album” nominations but Drake’s loyal fans quickly shut them down.
He stands with Beyonce (Lemonade), Adele (25), Justin Beiber (Purpose), and Sturgill Simpson (A Sailor’s Guide to Earth) for Album of the year and with Chance The Rapper (Coloring Book), DJ Khaled (Major Key), ScHool Boy Q (Blank Face), and De La Soul (And The Anonymous Nobody)
Although #Views was just 4X certified platinum In the US, there are fans who feel it just isn’t Grammy worthy.
One fan, @Chrisshoots feels “we’re confusing popular with good…” And @ChrisBass_ had a whole list of albums he felt was more deserving than #Views.
Drake’s die heart fans wasn’t here for the negative chit chat on Twitter.
One fan, @nine3michellem said “everyone on the TL saying Views trash but any song off Views comes on and they know it word for word lol.” And @_LadiesLoveTone said, “Views trash but it went platinum 4x. But we got act like y’all wasn’t tweeting the lyrics & using them for IG captions.
