Lady Gaga Gets Emotional While Explaining That She’s “Not Free Anymore” Since Becoming Famous

Earlier this month, Lady Gaga wrote a piece for Harper’s Bazaar where she explained that due to essentially being overwhelmed by her fame, she was compelled to take a break. “I was able to get off the train of endless work I’d been on, which was quite abusive to my body and my mind, and have some silence and some space around me,” she wrote. Fast forward to the release of her new album “Joanne”, Gaga is getting a bit more candid about her fame and how it’s effected her peace of mind.

Speaking with Lee Cowan for CBS Sunday Morning, the singer explains that for starters, since becoming famous, she has no privacy.
“As soon as I go out into the world, I belong, in a way, to everyone else. It’s legal to follow me. It’s legal to stalk me at the beach. And I can’t call the police or ask them to leave,” she said.

Next, Gaga gets teary eyed as she reminisces about what she misses the most about her pre-fame life. “I miss people,” she says. “I miss, you know, going anywhere and meeting a random person and saying ‘Hi,’ and having a conversation about life. I love people.”

Gaga’s interview airs on Sunday! Will you be tuning in?
