Bronx Man Kills NYPD Sergeant Before Being Shot Fatally– Shooter’s Dad Says His Son Deserved It

It has been reported that an NYPD sergeant killed and another was badly injured after responding to an armed home invasion call in the Bronx.

According to the NY Post, 35-year-old Manuel Rosales opened fire on Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo hitting the married father of two twice, once in the head and the other in the chest after he was cornered during a police chase.

“I heard the screeching of the cars and I heard the shots, I heard the police screaming out codes,’’ said a woman who lives nearby. “My man told me it means officer down, stay in the house. I heard a lot of shots. It wasn’t one or two or even 10.”

She continues to say, “How can you just get out of the car and start shooting? I saw all the officers running. It was insane. It’s good they got the person. It is unfortunate that the officer didn’t survive.”

Officers responded to a distressed call made from an unidentified 50-year-old woman while Rosales’ estranged wife, who is also the mother of his child, was being held hostage her husband for nearly four hours in her Van Nest home. Officials say that a 3-year-old boy, a 13 year old and the woman who made a 911 call were all in the house when everything unfolded.

Apparently, Rosales made it out of the house before police arrived but they were able to get a description of the Jeep Rosales took off in. Once cornered in the vehicle, Rosales opened fire killing Tuozzolo and hitting Sgt. Emmanuel Kwo multiple times in the right leg.

It was Tuozzolo’s partner along with another cop who finally put an end to the shootout when Rosales fatally shot. One of the officers is receiving some especially great praises because he’s only been on the job for three days old cadet that is still in training.

“His training kicked in,” President of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, Patrick Lynch said. “He saw a gun come out that window and rounds start being fired and fellow police officers, a sergeant, go down. He responded like a professional with 30 years, meanwhile he has three days. He did well.”

Lynch goes on to say,”He did right.Who did wrong was that mutt in his car.”

This is the first fatal police shooting to happen this year in the Bronx. Many people may feel indifferent about their deaths but one thing is for sure, Rosales’ own dad seems to feel happy that his son is finally off the streets.

“Don’t feel sorry — he deserved it,’’ his dad told reporters.

Ouch! Either way our condolences go out to all affected by this tragedy. Let’s talk below.
