Billy Bush, host on the “Today” show, will watching the show from home for a couple of days because he was suspended by NBC for his part in the Donald Trump video where Donald was talking about grabbing women’s “Kitty Kats.”
According to The New York Times, this news comes as a shock to many because the network stood by Billy’s side all week maintaining that they had no plans to discipline Billy and that he was supposed to talk about it on Mondays show.
Noah Opprnheim, The NBC executive in charge of “Today,” sent an email to his staff saying, “we’ve all been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours.”
“Let me be clear — there is simply no excuse for Billy’s language and behavior on that tape,” he said. “NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter.”
It’s not clear how long his suspension will last but usually we know how these things turn out… Fired.
