Looks like Bobby Shmurda has finally got an answer about his prospective future behind bars as it has been reported that he has copped a plea deal.
According to TMZ, the 22-year-old Brooklyn rapper has plead to a 7 year deal on conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon charges. The conspiracy to commit murder and his other weapons and drugs charges were dropped. He will also serve 5 years probation.
Shmurda, who’s real name is Ackquille Pollard, had been locked up since December 2014 just months after becoming one of New York’s biggest rapping sensation. Since he has been in jail for the past year, we wonder if any of it will count towards time served.
Shmurda was facing life in prison if he did not not take the deal. The deal Bobby was able to score is way sweeter than what he some of his fellow GS9 gang members received. 24-year-old Rashid Derissant was hit with a staggering 98 and 1/3 year prison sentence while another received 53 years.
