Looks like Damon Dash is gunning for Jay Z and Beyoncé once again but this time it’s on behalf of his ex-wife Rachel Roy.
Y’all remember the famous phrase, “Becky with the good hair,” the one that originated from Beyoncé’s hit song “Sorry?” The witch hunt to find the “Becky” resulted in Roy’s implication. Well, Damon Dash is pissed that Jay and Bey left Roy out to dry instead of putting the rumors to rest.
In an interview with an Italian women’s magazine, Grazia, the former Hip Hop mogul apparently went off on the subject, even going as far as to call them cowards for setting Rachel up.
“They are cowards. They should have stepped up and said something,” Dash allegedly said.
The designer tried to clear her name after she posted an ill- timed Instagram post with a caption that read “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truth, always… Live in your light #nodramaqueens.” Of course, many speculating that it was a sub shot to Beyoncé.
In a statement to People, Roy tried to clarify what she meant by saying, “I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that. There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors.”
Well obviously the damage was already done because the Beyhive was relentless with spamming her social media accounts with bee icons and even allegedly went as far as to hack her email accounts. Damon also had something to say about that.
“Adults can go and harass a kid on behalf of an R&B singer?” he said. “The trolls should have been put in jail for that, it was crazy.”
Regardless of the fact, many just want to know did Rachel and Jay have a sexual relationship? Well Dash was real brash about how he felt about it, “’I don’t care what Rachel did, I don’t agree with a lot of things she does,” he said.
