The Queen of Bounce, Big Freedia, can keep on bouncing because she avoided being sentenced to jail #Roommates after being charged earlier this year with theft of government funds. However, Big Freedia isn’t off the hook that easy because she was sentenced to three years’ probation and has to cough up $35,000 to pay the fine she was hit with.
According to PitchFork, Freedia has one hell of a fan base. U.S. District Court Judge Lance Africk said he received tons of letters pleading him to go easy on the ‘Queen of Bounce.’ If you remember Freedia was trying to beat the system by accepting almost $35,000 in housing assistance checks illegally.
Big Freedia acknowledged her wrongs and said in court, “I am at fault for my criminal conduct.” The judge responded and said theft was a “victimless crime” and told Freedia, “Please do not mistake kindness for weakness.”
Big Freedia keep on bouncin girl!
