All 27-year-old Adam Hilarie wanted was to enjoy a night with a girl he met on a popular dating app unfortunately, he met deadlier fate instead.
According to the NY Daily News, the Florida dad was set up to be robbed by Hailey Bustos, an 18 year old he met on Plenty Of Fish. The pair had went on a date previously where she was invited back to his apartment. He opted for a second date but she had another plan in mind.
The next day, Bustos allegedly came back to his apartment with three other men, Andre Warner, Joshua Ellington, and Garg Gray. The trio robbed Hilarie of his TVs, Xbox, and his IPhone at gun point as he pleaded for his life.
“Hilarie was begging for his life, he was not putting up any kind of fight, and was telling them that he had a 5-year-old daughter,” according to arrest reports obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Unfortunately his pleas did him no good because he was then shot in the head. Authorities later tracked down all for culprits and they are now facing murder and robbery charges.
Hilarie’s 5-year-old daughter, Lajaya says she misses her father very much.
“I miss my daddy because he’s with Jesus,” she told ABC Action News.
