Looks like Iggy Azalea just added a check to her pockets as it was confirmed that she has just inked a production deal with Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Iggy will be working to create “millennial-focused programming” for scripted and unscripted series that will talk about social justice as well as women empowerment.
”Creating television that is reflective of my generation has always been an aspiration of mine,” Azalea told the Hollywood Reporter. “I am incredibly excited to start working on my ideas and am humbled that Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios have given me this once-in-a-life time opportunity.”
Also Iggy Azalea confirmed it via Instagram a couple of weeks ago:
UCP’s Executive VP of Development, Dawn Olmstead had some very kind words for the Australian rapper also.
“Iggy is a strong, passionate voice for her generation and has incredible creative instincts in all aspects of media,” Dawn told the Hollywood Reporter. “We already have projects in both the scripted and non-scripted areas. We are very excited to have her join forces with us.”
This is a nice come up from her troubled past few months especially with the $270,000 tax lien she was recently slapped with and let’s not forget about the messy breakup with NBA player, Nick Young. Glad to see everything is on the up and up for her! Let’s chat below!
