Tyra Banks has announced that her hit show America’s Next Top Model is going in a new direction!
According to USA Today, after 22 successful cycles, Miss Banks will no longer be host for the hit model show. Instead, Rita Ora has been tapped to be her successor and that’s not all!
The new season will be moved to VH1 and will also have an all new cast of judges ranging from Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover model Ashley Graham, and Drew Elliot who is the chief creative officer of “Paper” magazine.
Even though Tyra won’t be hosting anymore she will still hold it down as executive producer on the show as well as make occasional appearances on the show!
Ora is excited about the new venture and explains that her over all goal as host is to approach the ladies based on what her career is, which is being a businesswoman and being able to juggle multiple responsibilities at a time.
The show will also have new concepts and challenges that apply to what is going on today in pop culture.
Tyra told USA Today that the show is “no longer just about having the highest cheekbones and best pout and the best hair, but her goal is to really get into these girls’ heads that she’s not looking for some successful model and not looking for some social-media star. She’s looking for both. She’s looking for a hybrid, because that’s where the world is.”
ANTM returns to New York for 14 episodes and all female contestant.
