Roommates, this year marks the 15th Annual BET Awards ceremony and it’s going to be a great show!
Last year, BET made major moves when they acquired VH1 Soul, and just a few weeks ago, it was announced that the CEO and Chairman Debra Lee, has joined Twitter’s board, so there’s already a lot of celebratory energy in the air.
We’re sure that many of you are excited to tune into the Prince tribute tonight as the icon will be honored by Stevie Wonder, Sheila E., Janelle Monae, The Roots and D’Angelo! Judging by the amount of the shade they threw at the Billboard Awards, we should expect a blowout performance from this excellent group of entertainers!
Speaking of entertainers, Beyoncé, Drake and Rihanna are the front runners in the Video of the Year category.
Beyoncé’s ‘Formation’ definitely executed its purpose of sparking conversations about injustices and feminism, while Rihanna’s ‘Work’ compels you to whine as soon as you hear that baseline.
‘Hotline Bling’ has probably allowed Drake to become the most memed celebrity in the history of memes and he proved it on SNL. Who do you guys think will take home the award?
