A 41-year-old U.S. Citizen was on trial in Taiwan for marijuana possession when he suddenly decided to take his own life after the judge handed over his sentence.
According to the LoveBScott, Tyrel Martin Marhanka had lived in Taiwan for over 15 years, was married and had a daughter.
Apparently after the judge told him he was going to be spending the next 4 years behind bars he snapped.
He was reportedly heard saying, “Four years?”
He was also heard saying “I don’t wanna appeal” when the translator told him he can appeal the ruling.
At that point Marhanka had enough. He said “I don’t wanna live anymore” and took out two metal objects and stabbed himself on both sides of the neck. He died 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital.
