The New Orleans Police department has just disclosed to the public that they found a fully loaded 9mm handgun in New Orleans Saints football player, Will Smith’s, car , after they were granted a search warrant.
According to TMZ, the police department made the announcement Tuesday, and a witness has come forward saying that Smith said he was going to get his gun during his argument with Cardell Hayes, the guy who he got into the accident with, and that’s when Hayes went and grabbed his gun shot and shot Smith.
This new information will likely help the defense, since their saying Hayes felt threatened by Smith.
The investigation is still ongoing, and police still have to interview Smith’s wife and two other passengers who were in the car.
