Exciting, yet historical moments are taking place in 2016 and one of them just so happens to be an honorable moment for the rap group phenomena, N.W.A as their being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
The 31st induction ceremony for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame took place last night at the Barclays Center in New York where a host of talented individuals came through like Steve Miller, Chicago, Cheap Trick, but most importantly N.W.A stopped by to be accepted into one of the most honorable museums that represents a mass number of entertainment artists across the nation!
According to Complex, Kendrick Lamar gave a much appreciated speech to pay homage towards the West Coast group on how they’ve changed the hip-hop game for him and many others to follow.
“Cube, where you at? The storytelling genius, every bar had us hangin’ on our seats. Each verse giving us a glimpse of what it was like to be from Compton,” said Kendrick. While mentioning Dr. Dre: “Dre! The scientist, the perfectionist, the producer extraordinary…. he’s one of the best producers of all time, through today. Believe that!”
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will air on April 30 on HBO at 8 p.m. EST.
