Now of course we are no stranger to the classic photoshop when it comes to magazine spreads even if it was done involuntarily. Well #KerryWashington took to her Instagram in a lengthy but classy read about how she was “taken aback” when she saw how badly AdWeek photoshopped her on its cover.
She writes, “Look, I’m no stranger to Photoshopping. It happens a lot. In a way, we have become a society of picture adjusters – who doesn’t love a filter?!?”
Although Kerry makes it evident that she understands the differences in today’s society, she continues to explain why she still felt uneasy. She says, “Yesterday, however, I just felt weary. It felt
strange to look at a picture of myself that is so different from what I look like when I look in the mirror.”
Kerry exclaims how she loves the publication of ADWEEK and how she has gained knowledge from it in the past. And if you know Kerry, she is not one to discuss her personal life.
But, even though she didn’t say anything outlandish or distasteful about the article. Is there a bigger issue at play here or is everyone overlooking it?
