Rick Ross Settles Lawsuit With Photographer Over Iconic Photo Of Jay-Z

Looks like things are lightning up for Rick Ross, at least when it comes to the legal department. If you remember Ross was battling a case with a photographer over an original photo of Jay-Z throwing up his signature Roc-Nation pose.

The photographer, Armen Djerrahian, filed a federal lawsuit against Rick Ross and Maybach Music after he saw a legendary photo he took of Jay-Z back in 2003 being used in the “Movin Bass” music video!

According to the Jasmine Brand, both parties agreed to dismiss the case entirely because Djerrahian claimed he had copyrighted the photo, but Rick said he had a license to use the photo. The only problem the photographer had was that he felt he should have been compensated and the rapper should have asked for permission first through him!

Well, since the judge cannot reach a fair agreement to settle the case, since there are probably many iconic photos that the public may have taken of Jay-Z throwing up his infamous symbol, and Ross technically went through proper procedures to use the photo, it’s hard to tell if Djerrahian should seek any damages!
