17-Year-Old Kyle Rittenhouse Arrested In Connection To The Fatal Shooting In Kenosha That Left 2 Dead And 1 Injured (Update)

Last night was another night of protests in Kenosha, WI as residents protested in support of Jacob Blake after he was shot several times in the back by officers.

As we previously reported, a man with a large gun was seen on video fatally shooting protesters, and he managed to get past police after he shot two people and injured another.

The man who was being referred to as a vigilante has been identified as 17-Year-Old Kyle Rittenhouse. TMZ reports that he was captured by police and he is now facing homicide charges. He was arrested in Antioch, Illinois and court records show he was booked for first-degree homicide for the Kenosha shooting.

CNN reports that he is in the custody of the Lake County Judicial System pending an extradition hearing to transfer custody of him from Illinois to Wisconsin.

Police say that the victim that was injured was taken to the hospital with “serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.”

At the moment, authorities are working to figure out if the incident was a result of a conflict between demonstrators or a group of men that had weapons as they were protecting businesses.

As mentioned before, the father of Jacob Blake revealed that due to the shooting with Kenosha police, Jacob is now paralyzed from the waist down.
