It’s been nothing but positive vibes coming forth before the biggest game of the year begins, and now in honor of Super Bowl 50, the NFL has teamed up with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) to create 50 designer footballs and it’s all for a great cause!
According to Forbes, the high-end designers who will show off their bedazzled football’s are Betsey Johnson, Tiffany & Co., Rachel Zoe, Nicole Miller, Vince Comuto and Georgina Chapman!
These over the top footballs will be worth enough coins that you might just have to frame yours if you’re interested in purchasing one. And get this, these 50 footballs are so elegant and over the top, that you have to go through an auction to bid your way to one of the most sought out footballs there is!
The auction started on January 20 and will end on February 14, with the starting bid price already at $500 and with a $50 increment in place per bidder! One football designed by, Tiffany & Co. is already catching 46 bids and the price for the 12 pound sterling silver, and .23 yellow gold plated ball is already worth $11,550! It’s called the “silver bullet” and it took up to 45 hours to produce!
All of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the NFL Foundation to help youth football leagues wellness, health and safety in local communities.
