This morning, comedian Gary Owen officially invited #Adele to the cookout after she used her acceptance speech to stan out for Beyoncé. So, that got us to thinking about what other celebs would be invited to the cookout too. Here’s our list, but feel free to include your own personal invite!
1.) Gary Owen
Garry being invited pretty much speaks for itself. He’s the reason why we’ve decided to gather this woke group of our less ‘melanated’ bruvas and sistahs.
2.) Shia LaBeouf
Shia is always standing up for justice and for that he’ll always have a seat at the table.
3.) Officer Norman
Officer Norman is invited to the cookout because he will be able to keep the kids entertained! He’s a wonderful role model for children and young adults in his community.
4.) Adele
The way Adele stans for Beyonce is admirable. She may have dethroned Kanye after her epic Grammy speech from last night.
5.) Justin Timberlake
Honestly, when has Justin Timberlake not been invited?
6.) Norm Kelly
We’ve actually decided that Norm Kelly can host the cookout.
7.) Lady Gaga
Gaga’s tribute to Trayvon Martin in ‘Angel Down’ from her ‘Joanne’ album is commendable as well. Not very many artists have dared to use their platforms to speak out against the senseless slayings of unarmed black men.
8.) Eminem
M&M’s are brown on the inside. Just saying that there’s a correlation here.
9.) JK Rowling
Never forget when J.K. Rowling gathered racists who didn’t want Hermione to be portrayed by a black actress in ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.’ The gag is that the actress fit the description perfectly!
10.) Chrissy Teigen
When Chrissy asked Donnie when she should call his Uber we were done!! Plus, the model is invited by association since she’s married to John Legend. We just want to make it clear that she has definitely earned her invite by herself.
11.) Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep, the Barbara Streisand of acting, used her Cecil B. DeMille Award acceptance speech at the 2017 Golden Globes to slam Donnie Trump for essentially being racist. Super brave and for that, she is invited to the cookout! She looks like she can make some bomb potato salad ha!
12.) Chelsea Handler
Chelsea may be a comedienne, but she doesn’t joke around when it comes to equality. She wants everyone to do better!
13.) Katy Perry
The singer openly supports the Black Lives Matter movement!
